Hello, and welcome! My name is Michelle, and I'm glad you're here!
I'm excited to introduce my new Pour Painting Playshops! These fun, creative experiences offer women a safe space to relax, let go, recharge, and connect with their creativity in community with other women.
Choose your favorite colors and watch them blend and swirl to create your own mesmerizing abstract work of art. Far more than a class, these are meaningful experiences that invite creativity, connection, play, and self-expression.
I hope you'll join me for Pour Painting Playshops in SW Portland!

Pour Painting Playshops are small-group painting experiences for women who want to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and enjoy the simple pleasure of creating something beautiful.
The ability to be creative and engage in art is an important aspect in reducing stress and increasing well-being. It is also one of the most cost-effective techniques in reducing negative mental health symptoms.
When life feels uncertain, heavy, or overly busy, creativity offers a pause, a shift in perspective, and a light-hearted energy. There is no right way to paint, no pressure to perform, and no expectation to be anything other than yourself.

Join me for Pour Painting Playshops in Portland! A warm and welcoming space where creativity is a way to unwind, connect, and feel more alive. No experience needed... just a willingness to get a little messy and have a lot of fun.
You'll create a beautiful work of art, even if you've never painted before. And you will have learned a wonderful craft without watching countless YouTube videos or wasting money on trial-and-error flops the way I did.
There is a wonderful sense of calm that comes from listening to great music while focusing on color, movement, and the simple act of making something with your own hands. It's a memorable experience you'll want to do again!

There is something deeply satisfying about surprising yourself. Most women arrive saying they aren’t artistic, then leave with a painting they’re proud of and a renewed sense of possibility.
The process often becomes more meaningful than the finished canvas itself. Creating with others is delightfully grounding. It can bring laughter, ease, reflection, and that rare feeling of having done something just for yourself.
These gatherings are small, allowing space to relax, connect, and enjoy the process without rush. Whether you come alone or bring a friend, you’ll be welcomed into a warm, creative environment where you can make something beautiful and leave feeling refreshed.

The ability to be creative and engage in art is an important aspect in reducing stress and increasing well-being. It is also one of the most cost-effective, non-invasive, and non-pharmacological techniques in reducing negative mental health symptoms.
Participating in creative activities helps people cope with stress and despair. Cultures all over the world consider artistic expression an important aspect of the healing process. Throughout history, people have used paintings, storytelling, dances, yoga, and chants as healing rituals.
The mind quiets. Time slows. The inner critic softens. You're absorbed in color, movement, and the simple act of creating something special with your own hands. Painting isn’t about being an artist. It’s about what happens within you while you create… the slowing down, the opening, the small but meaningful return to yourself.

We live in a world of constant information, promotion, and introductions to the next product or service we absolutely must have. So it's understandable to wonder if showing up to a Pour Painting Playshop means enduring a product presentation or even getting subtly 'pitched' while you're just trying to have fun.
My disclaimer and promise to you: I do NOT represent or promote any products or services.
As the founder of Holistic Menopause in 2004, I worked with women virtually for over two decades before passing the torch. And I've recently retired from my 'day job' after 25+ years in the Natural Products Industry. I've missed human connections!
So, I decided to invite women in my own community to create, connect, and enjoy a little time away from the noise of everyday life and their mounting task lists. They leave with a piece of art and hopefully a lighter heart. No agenda, promise.
