Michelle morris prince

Welcome, my name is Michelle, and I'm so glad you're here! A little about me, if we haven't met yet...

I've been involved in holistic health and the healing arts for over 40 years and am certified in multiple modalities. In 2004, I introduced Holistic Menopause and created personalized wellness plans and workshops for women for the next two decades.

During my own midlife journey, I discovered the healing benefits of fluid art painting. So, when I retired after 27 years in the Natural Products Industry, I wanted to share it with others, and Fluid Art Fun was born. I hope to see you at an event!

Wellness Benefits

Stress reduction and relaxation: Engaging in an enjoyable creative activity can interrupt cycles of worry, ease tension, and promote relaxation.

Greater emotional awareness: Making something without a predetermined outcome can help us recognize feelings, needs, and inner experiences that we haven't consciously acknowledged.

Renewed self-confidence: Creating something with our own hands reminds us that we are capable of exploring, learning, and bringing ideas to life. Confidence can grow through the experience itself, not just the finished result.

Emotional release: Creativity provides a safe outlet for feelings that may be difficult to articulate. Grief, frustration, sadness, and joy can find expression through color, movement, texture, and form.

Freedom from perfectionism: Creative play invites us to experiment rather than get everything right. It can help soften self-criticism and teach us to appreciate the beauty of imperfection.

Presence and mindfulness: Working with colors, materials, and textures naturally draws attention to the present moment. We become less absorbed in the past or future and more connected to what we are experiencing now.

Processing difficult experiences: Creative expression can offer an alternative way to explore complex experiences when talking about them feels difficult. It doesn't require us to explain everything before we begin to make sense of it.

Reconnecting with joy: Playfulness and experimentation bring opportunities for delight, curiosity, and laughter. Creativity reminds us that life can hold pleasure even when other parts of life are challenging.

Sensory engagement and grounding: Touching materials, mixing colors, shaping objects, and observing patterns engage the senses. This can help us feel more connected to our surroundings and our bodies.

A stronger sense of identity: Creativity allows us to discover preferences, express individuality, and explore who we are beyond our responsibilities, roles, and expectations of others.

Connection and belonging: Shared creative experiences encourage conversation, cooperation, laughter, and connection. Making something together can help people feel less isolated and more understood.

Hope and renewed perspective: Creating something new can symbolize possibility. It gives us an opportunity to imagine alternatives, see things differently, and remember that new experiences are still available to us.
